For sale here is a $5 Series 1896 Silver Certificate (Friedberg #270) in very good condition. It faces up nicely with a clear design, no stains or writing and no tears. The quality is overall very nice with bright colors and no stains or tears. There is a no margin erosion along the top edge but the paper does need to be flattened out. Thee is a short split at the right edge that needs to be mentioned. The $5 Educational is one of, if not the most popular large size type and this... one is more than adequate in terms of quality to satisfy the needs of any intermediate level collector, and it is for sale without reserve.
