Rare MSD Dual Drive Disk Drive For Commodore 64/128,

You are bidding on an incredibly scarce Micro Systems Development (MSD) Dual Disk Drive/Super Disk Drive (Model # SD-2) for use with the Commodore 64/128/VIC-20/Plus 4. This drive has been tested and works quite well, please see from photos. I formatted a blank disk, wrote a small program, saved it to disk on drive 0, then loaded it from drive 1 and it worked fine. I tried a commercial disk and it seemed fine, but a few disks written from a different disk drive did not seem to cooperat...e/load very well on the MSD. I'm not sure if the drive heads could be dirty, or the drive that wrote the few disks I tried could have been out of alignment. Therefore, this Dual Disk Drive is being sold as functional, but in as is condition, since it might need a bit of additional tweaking to bring it up to 100%. The drive measures 13" long, 5.5" wide, and 6" tall.
This disk drive is in very good condition, and the internal components are especially nice, as seen from photos. The sticker panel on the front has a small chip in the bottom right corner, as pictured. The casing has a bit of light scratching and pitting in a few areas, but there is no major denting or damage. I am including a NOS Manhattan computer power cord.
PLEASE NOTE that this item will be securely packed and double boxed and padded with packing peanuts for shock absorption during shipment, but due to the fragile nature of disk drives and the possibility for misalignment when jostled, I cannot guarantee that everything will still be perfectly aligned and functional when it arrives.
