Compot : Paphiopedilum wenshanense var. aureumThis species makes a beautiful cream yellow flower over wonderfully patterned leaves that are not commonly seen. A mature plant of the species that I own is shown in the first two photos to give you an idea about what you can expect. The last photo shows the exact compot a final winner will get. The photo was taken today right before this list was put up. As can be seen, these are very healthy with no blemish. They are in active g...rowth, however, I recommend to repot them upon receipt unless you have your own way of dealing with seedlings. These little guys have been in this 4inch round pot in the last two years as they were taken out of the flask. They were as small as your nail on your pinky. They have grown nicely. Still a couple of years away from reaching a flowering size depending on how you care for them. Just in case for those like me who are anal about details, if you look closely at the leaves in the photo, there are some white stuff. Please be assured that they are not bugs but chemical residue from fertilizers. The compot obviously shows eight seedlings, however there are two smaller ones hidden under the larger siblings. This species is not often seen in the trade and the flask/plant can fetch high dollar, so grab this chance to have a jump start with a bunch of nicely grown plants!! :) Thank you for looking. Have fun!
