Vintage OMEGA Speedmaster Moonphase Triple Date 18kWith OMEGA solid 18k gold bracelet Scarce and exotic ! Omega Speedmaster in 18k yellow gold withMoonphase, seconds, minutes, chronograph, 24-hour dial, dayand date ! Used, but in very nice condition, withoriginal box and papers.Probably 1990’s. The total of the factory service was about $1, 100. A copy of the service
documents will be included with the watch upon sale.
I recently brought this watch home from my Watchprofessional. He put it on the diagnostic machine and found itfaultless and running within one (1) second per day. NO paperwork on that, he just checked it and handed it back
This was a “special occasion watch” for me, and Iwore it infrequently. CONDITION: There are some blemishes in the finish.
Back: the serialnumber is easily readable. There is NO scratching from the band.
There may be a few other marks
Dial and hands: Beautiful, and as factory. Pushers: All pushers are intact, factorycorrect,
and correct for this watch. Case: Original. Of course, 18K as original. Sides are proper brushed finish in the correctplaces, and are almost unmarked by use. NO band marks where the band joins the case. There are marks
from changing the band.
Case diameter is 39mm
Crown: correct 18k crown for this watch. BEZEL: very nice; all numbers, and clear.with a few scratches. Band: OMEGA Constellation watchband in 18K yellowgold.
Included are several extra band “parts” in this style,
which a jewelercould add by welding.
Together, the band is about 6.8 inches long with the claspclosed;
as you would wear it. On the watch, the same
measurement would beabout 8.4 inches.
This watch did NOT come with this band from thefactory.
Total weight of the 18K band parts is 2.630 oz (~77grams).
At $1, 500 / oz. That is about $2, 900.00 value ofgold. The Omega Speedmaster series of watches have been one of the world’s favorites since theinception of the line. The demand has been both constant and fierce ! Over time, the line was advanced from therelatively simple manual-wind chronograph typical of the 1960’s tomuch more complicated timepieces. This watch is oneof the most complicated Speedmaster watches everproduced, and is VERY unusual and desirable in 18k gold. Serial number 536856xx.
These watches are scarce, and hard to find. The paper and the leather of the box hasdeteriorated over the last 30 years. Not unusual forOMEGA…………….. Movement designated Caliber 1150 This is an automatic movement – meaningself-winding. It can also be hand-wound with the crown.
