STUNNING Vintage 9K GOLD ROLEX Pocket WATCH 1940s Model 3069

A beautiful vintage 1940's Rolex pocket watch with a very stylish, elegant design housed in a 9k solid gold case with a lovely original dial and a high grade Rolex movement ticking along strong within. This is a Rolex from a very different era in the famous manufactures history. The case measures 44mm in diameter excluding the bow and original crown and only 8.75mm thick including the glass. The case has a lovely engraving on the back and shows some wear consistent with age with a few very minor... dings here and there and one on the side of the case around 5:30 where it looks like it took a small impact at some point. The original factory printed dial has a lovely light cream background with sub-seconds at 6:00, signed Rolex, Swiss Made. As you can see there is one small scratch to the right of center, but overall it has a beautiful vintage feel and bright overall appearance. Inside is probably the most interesting part of the watch. The bezel and glass pop off to reveal the dial and movement that can easily be removed from the back of the case. It is held precicely by an inner dust cover that is labeled Rolex, 25 World Records, Geneve-Suisse, Brevet 144357, Metal, Devisser/Out with an arrow pointing in the direction to screw that inner cover out. It screws out smoothly to reveal a solid gold back which is also fully signed R.W.C. LTD (Rolex Watch Co), with all of the correct hallmarks and serial and model number 3069 matching the inner cover. Again, there is a personal engraving dating it to 1947. The high quality Rolex movement is also in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition with Geneva stripe decoration, and signed Rolex, 15 Rubis, Fab. Suisse, Swiss Made. It is ticking along strongly and has kept quite good time over the last several hours, but as I have not had a service performed it must be sold as is, with no timekeeping warranty. A rare and elegant vintage timepiece from the famous house of Rolex, Switzerland. Don't miss it!
