ROLEX Vintage Rolex Submariner 168000 " Triple Zero " (transitional Model) Steel
Item History & Price
ROLEX VINTAGE stainless steel SUBMARINER DATE. This is a model 168000 -otherwise known as the "Triple Zero"! I'm not an expert- but this is a transitional model in the development of the Submariner and thus is quite rare. Already taking off in price like all the other very limited number vintage Rolex's (ori...ginal Milgauss/Rootbeers/Daytonas/etc). The was my father's watch who just recently passed. He took care of it his whole life. Full service every 5-6 years like clockwork, and the band is TIGHT (see photos). This timepiece has a serial number (R8) that places it being purchased in the late 80s. The photos show the watch as it will be delivered. Dial is in excellent condition. Some scratches on band (i did not have my watchmaker refinish the band, so you are seeing it exactly as it was worn). This timepiece is delivered without box or papers as I have not found them anywhere in my fathers estate -but i did find the original 300m/1, 000ft promotional anchor in his papers. The anchor appears to have never even been opened. Shipping is free of charge, fully insured to the 48 contiguous states of America. Anyone wishing to bid outside of the U.S. must ask first as there are some locations I will not ship to. Bid with confidence... as Ive been with Ebay almost 20 years now and never a negative feedback.
Any questions? please ask. I'll do my best to answer. Need anything or any part exactly photographed- just ask. I'll be happy to accommodate.
(please take note: this is the SIXTH time i'm listing this watch. First time i had reserve set too high -my fault. Second time, i accepted a good offer, closed the auction and then buyer contacted me with some story about how his son placed the bid and so he refused to pay. Third time, someone with "0" transaction history bids, wins- then Ebay negates the sale because he wasnt a confirmed ebay member. Fourth time- some yahoo from Taiwan DID NOT READ the auction text, bid, won, then never returned any communications. Last time- a guy wins, but wants to pay by check and paypal credit. (Ebay/Paypal dont allow split payments) SO PLEASE- PLEASE -for the love of God- only bid if you are serious about owning a true legitimate triple zero submariner, have the means to purchase it and at the VERY MINIMUM- have a domestic US address to deliver to.
-and with all that, thanks for looking and happy ebaying!
p.s. my father had quite a watch collection (he went to Joseph Bulova School of Watchmaking back in the 50s and always had an affinity for them) which i am liquidating. White gold Day Date Oysterquartz, J L Master Control, T H Autavia, Rolex Explorer 1, etc so please check my other auctions over the next week or so.
thanks for looking!
