Omega Speedmaster Professional cal 861 pre-moon transitional ref. 145.022-68
Movement number 26.556.6xx, putting its estimated date of production at March 1969. Transitional reference which kept the metal logo dial but saw the introduction of the calibre 861 movement.
Step dial with applied metal logo in excellent condition, although dial plots have been relumed with luminescent material. Original tritium hour and minute hands which still glow briefly on illumination. Chrono seco...nds hand has been relumed with colour-matched non-luminescent material.
Very nice DON (DO90/DN70) bezel in excellent condition except for corrosion at 12 and 6 o'clock.
Original narrow logo flat foot crown and pushers (note the patina on the pusher stems).
HF asymmetrical case, with interesting double-drilled lugs.
Watch is head only - no bracelet.
Clean cal 861 movement with steel brake. Dust cover is a service replacement. Keeping good time and all chrono functions working as expected, but service history is unknown and watch hasn't been serviced while in my possession.
