Beatles memorabilia yellow submarine “Bonkers” Man “Artist Proof” bronze sculpture .
This Beatle’s Yellow Submarine AP "Artist Proof" cast bronze sculpture by Lars Loma depicts the “Apple Bonkers” man in a top hat and coat tails with a large green apple on his head. Mounted on a black marble base.This was the only character chosen to sculpture as opposed to other characters ie bulldogs, blue meenies etc.

A note from the Paul Butler, the artist who was responsibe for getting this artwork created...I was hired by the Beatle’s president of Apple records Neil Aspinall and Tannenbaum the producer/talent agency whom represented the Beatles to put together an art promotion program to facilitate the re-release of yellow submarine!In the developing this program I had the pleasure of working directly with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr who were deeply involved in this process along with Neil Aspinall before he passed away from cancer.Among the artist we solicited for this project was none other than Lars Loma a well known Acrlic sculpturist. I was well acquainted with Lars Lomas work because we weee both involved in creating art pieces for the Disney Artisan Collections that were sold around the world from Los Angeles - New York - Europe. My speciality was art glass and his was Acrylic and bronze sculpturing.This particular piece was one of many art projects involved in this Yellow Submarine Promotion.. Signed Paul Butler
Lars Loma's the Artist...Lar Loma is known primarily as one of the few who has mastered acrylic sculpture, As an art form, modern acrylic sculpture is coming of age. Only a small number of fine artists have pioneered the technique, using form, void, and delight, to craft images of whimsical beauty and illusion. But in this piece he used Bronze to create this whimsical Apple "Bonkers" man sculpture...The extra bonus is that this sculpture was done for the Beatles and it is only artist proof in existence, making it much more rare than the limited edition of 500 that was released in 1999!It is gorgeous and quite large
