This auction is for a 16MM film containing a complete half hour episode of the legendary 1960s TV show, “The Dating Game”, hosted by Jim Lange. This episode originally aired on April 25, 1969. The show contains two segments, and in each one, a young woman asks questions, from behind a partition, of three bachelors on the other side. When time is up, she must choose one to go out on a date with.
This is a wonderful ABC network print which includes all the original commercials, in...cluding those for Johnson Wax products (Glo-Coat and Jubilee Kitchen Wax), Dove dishwashing liquid, Phase III soap, Bayer Aspirin for Children, Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia tablets, Teflon II scratch resistant pan, Slender drink mix from Carnation, Little Friskies Cat Food, Maybelline beauty products, and St. Joseph Aspirin for Children.
The B&W picture is very good (see actual screen shots), the sound is strong, the film runs smoothly, and there is no vinegar smell. The film is complete from start to finish with all beginning titles and end credits. It ends with the ABC logo. Total running time is approximately 28 minutes.
