Antique 1847 Baccarat Spaced Concentric with ten gridels, including i.a. an elephant and a bird and a B1847 signature/date cane which is generally regarded as making this rarer than the dated 1848 version. Nicely sized at just under 3 1/8'' and in excellent condition with the usual light wear to the basal ring. A really nice example of this form - regardless of date - very colourful, complex and interesting making it very collectible. Incidentally this was listed and sold by a leading ...US collector, dealer a few years ago at c$3500[!]. It also has a small number [four digits] etched to its base suggesting that it may have been in a much larger collection at one time in its life.
