The Art and Clay Company pottery vase SF Greuby matte green *rare. Condition is listed as used as item is not newly purchased but is in excellent condition and never used! Vase stands 9in. tall, 4in. across at widest center point and top about 3.5in across. Vase is covered in matte green glaze and crisply carved with five leaves alternating with gold/bronze buds. The base has initials SF for Steve Frederick and year date 2003. Piece also has paper label with handwritten #6A in black in...k.Founded in 1974 by Steve Frederick and Cherie Jemsek, the Jemerick Art Pottery was a small studio pottery located in Saugerties, New York. Steve met the collector and dealer Art Accardi, who specialized in art pottery, and was happy to share his knowledge of arts & crafts pottery with Steve. Inspired in particular by the designs of Grueby and Teco, Steve began making pieces in the style of Grueby. Accardi sold some of their early Jemerick wares through his company, The Arts & Clay Company.This piece is beautiful!I could not find another piece with exact shape to figure todays worth, so i actually contacted the arts and clay company in New York and spoke to artist that gave me specific info for this exact piece.
