Some excellent quality bracket clocks please keep your eyes open over the next few months THE CASE This clock is a fantastic antique architectural style solid carved oak triple chain driven fusee musical 8 bell bracket clock of superb large proportions, the clock is in excellent condition for age with a fabulous colour and patina, the movement has a choice of musical chime on 8/4 bells and has a pull repeat syncing cord
The case features a gothic architectural design with carved finials and a basket style top with its original finish that looks absolutely amazing on display. The case has hand carved decorations mainly on the face which are all in excellent condition and have a fantastic display look to them, matching gothic style carved fretwork panels on either side, all the carved decoration is of the highest quality and all in excellent condition
The case is in excellent condition for age with a fabulous colour and patina to the oak with a hinged glazed front door and a hinged glazed back door, unfortunately the lock in the front door is not working so does have a turn latch to hold it shut, the back door lock is working and has its original key
The solid oak case has a stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age. This is exactly how i have received it and it looks 100% more impressive in the flesh, the case does have some age discrepancies as you can only expect of a clock which is over 150 years old but only adds to its character and authenticity
THE DIAL The clock features a arched silvered dial with engraved roman numerals and original hands, the dial is in excellent condition and has various floral engraved decorations. There are 2 selection dials to the arch, one is for the choice of musical chime on 8 or 4 bells and the other is for the choice of silent or chime
THE MOVEMENT The clock has an absolutely fantastic English triple fusee musical chain driven movement striking the 8/4 bells. The quarter chiming musical chimes every quarter of an hour on 8/4 bells and the hourly strike on a separate gong on the hour after the musical chimes have finished playing, there is a pull repeat cord that comes out from the bottom which will play the last musical chime plus the last hourly strike, this can help when syncing the chimes up if needed
The movement is in perfect working order chiming superbly and ticks away beautifully and the chimes are like music to the ears as you can see and hear in the video above The movement is of outstanding quality and all in excellent original working condition
The movement comes with its original pendulum all working fantastically keeping perfect time as you would expect from a high quality clock, the movement comes with a 6 months return to base warranty for extra piece of mind
MEASUREMENTS The clock measures 28 inches high x 15 inches wide x 9.75 inches deep and looks super impressive wherever it is displayed APPROX DATE Circa 1840 This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
