We believe that this is a very early vintage Van Briggle teens or 1920s blue arts and crafts pottery vase with great glazing and design as shown in the pictures taken with and without flash. For its age, it is in very fine condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The predominant colors are blues but it also appears to be covering some dark red and slightly purple areas. The bottom is marked but hard to read: with a large Artus and Anna Van Briggle AA mark in a rectangle,... Van Briggle, then either the Colorado Springs marking or an artists signature or abbreviation. The vase stands just shy of 7 inches tall by about 4 inches widest at upper neck area. It is a spectacular piece of pottery that would look great in anyone’s vintage arts and crafts or Van Briggle art pottery collection.
