This vintage 1950s Selmer Mark 6 tenor was very well played but not abused. This came from the estate of its original owner who was a longtime professional working musician and used this horn as his mainstay workhorse since it was... purchased new. It now awaits its next owner who may continue to love it just as much.
This Selmer displays much player wear to its original exterior finish from professional use.It has original lacquer that shows all the character and honest playing patina of what a played daily classic loved 60 year “London” should. The bell displays the New York, Elkhart, and London engravings and it’s body is remarkably free of any serious dents. This series of saxes also had Mark VI engraved above the thumb-rest. It shows some typical small dings but nothing excessive. It has its original numbers matching neck. (pictured)
It was very recently professionally serviced and now has brand new Selmer style plastic resonator pads installed. It was taken apart then reassembled and professionally adjusted and lubricated to achieve outstanding playability. This horn should need nothing but your favorite mouthpiece
