Antique Chinese Painting on Red Lacquered Wood Door Panel
Measures: 26.5" Inches Tall by 13.5" Wide and 1" Thick
Up for auction is a very early Chinese painting on an old wooden panel that was probably a door or section to a piece of furniture. Unfortunately, this piece has seen better days, as the wood is cracked in many places. Please take a close look at the pictures and notice all the cracks and breaks to the wood, and the wear to the lacquer. Ev...en though the wood has split, the hand painted scene is just remarkable. There is an old hanging tie on the back so it can be easily displayed on any wall. The cracks in the wood give the piece a nice authentic aged look that would display beautifully on any wall.
