RARE Signed Unusual Matte Yellow Star motif Schreiner Pin/Brooch and Earrings.
This very unique Schreiner pin is constructed of matte finish FLAT disks set in wire-formed "stars" with alternating opaque white stones or pale citrine (jonquille) rhinestones at the tips of the stars. There are 3 topaz unfoiled teardrop cabochons in ruffled cups interspersed between the yellow stars. The pin is very dimensional - and uniquely Schreiner! It measures 2 3/4 x ...2 7/8" and is gold-plated.
I've collected Schreiner for many years, and this is the only pin I've seen with these stones. I've checked the book and multiple other sources, and haven't found any other examples using them. That's one of the things I love about Schreiner - they continue to surprise us with their creative use of different and unusual stones and construction!
The earclips are the same motif - a simple single star with pale citrine rhinestones at their tips. They measure 7/8" - and the clips function securely.
