Welcome, I have finished my first ever Black Americana Liberty Doll. I created her from muslin, painted sanded and antiqued to perfection. She is a stump doll, no legs. I fashioned her dress from am original faded US Flag. I hand stitched America down the front and hand stitched stars I made from an antique coverlet and wools. I added a painted, stained and antiqued crown as well as a star pick and an original 48 star parade flag, ( it was separating from the stick so I primitively sti...tched it back on. Miss Liberty is 33" tall, and can be hung or seated as shown. I did not attach the flag or star pick, in case you want to switch it around. She is completely stitched, no glue was used. She also holds a purchased painted liberty bell(the only thing I didn, t create). She was made in my smoke and pet free home. She will come signed and dated. I have a love of our Country and Antique Textiles. This is one way to show how very proud you are to be an American.
