Stunning antique Mission/Arts & Crafts chandelier with original Quezal shades. This piece was part of an Arts & Crafts Spanish bungalow in Pasadena, CA built in 1916. It was purchased by my family in 2004 and has hung in our Mission style home. We are now moving to a mid century home, so this chandelier will not work with the new decor. The fixture is either bronze or brass and has a nice patina. Beautifully designed with clean lines and has that quintessential Mission look. Condition ...is excellent with just minor wear and a few specks of house paint here and there from the over years. I suppose it can be polished back to the original gold patina, but I will leave that up to the new owner. The four Quezal shades are original to the fixture and are in perfect condition. All four are etched with “Quezal” at the fitter rim. The green iridescent feathers are quite beautiful, especially when lit. The Perkins paddle switches and sockets are all original and all the internal wiring has been redone by our electrician and the fixture is in perfect working order! This piece would be a perfect addition to any Mission, Arts & Crafts or Spanish bungalow home.
