Presented is a stunning 1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams graded 3.5 (VG+) by PSA. At first glance this card appears to be at least a 4, however upon close inspection there is a light surface wrinkle which runs from the left-hand edge through the legs of the player. I call this a wrinkle rather than a crease as it does not run through to the reverse of the card (as far as I can detect under extremely bright light). The surfaces are incredibly bright with very little of ...the toning which is often found on the issue.
In my opinion this is the most attractive of all Williams' cards, and it is certainly the most rare of his major issues. In the current PSA population report, there are only 187 graded examples, compared to over 1, 000 each for his 1939 Playball rookie and the short-printed 1954 Bowman.
