X-Men #1 introducing all the old X-Men including Professor X, Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Marvel Girl (Jean Grey... ultimately Phoenix). It is a CGC 3.0 with WHITE Pages. wear spine breaks color I bought this comic book at a convention in Atlanta in (approximately) 1982 or 83. It has been stored mostly in a myler bag in a box in a dark closet ever since. I have recently decided to grade and sell my collection, and this is the gem of the collection. Most of you looking at this listing are aware that this is a very hot comic. The movies have pushed the popularity of the characters, and the recent Dark Phoenix movie has only contributed to their place as pop culture institutions. That is partly why this book went up one place from last year to now hold the #11 spot in the sellmycomicbooks 2019 ranking of hot comics. Many of you also know that their site by the same name tracks recent sales of hot comics in various grades, and the CGC 3.0 grade I am selling here has been selling for $3, 750. I am asking less because I want to move this book in a single week's auction time. Note that the book price is also trending up, and the site goes on to add that the books in the lower grades are likely safe and reliable investments. I encourage you to check out this information on your own, but I have included screenshots in my photos.I will ship this USPS, and I have timed the close of the auction to make certain I am available to ship it the next day. I still remember selecting this book (in the days long before grading) vs. another that was slightly more expensive but in NM condition. Oh well, live and learn. This is still a fantastic copy.
