Up for auction is a LARGE 18/19THC CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE GREEN ENAMEL DOUCAI VASE QIANLONG JIAQING. This vase is a superb and large size example that would date from the later 18th to earlier 19th century. The vase has many unique features including “100 butterflies” decor on a vibrant green enamel ground. The vase has a beautiful form with unique Doucai enamel bands and great blue-enameled handles favored and unique to the period.
Condition: Drilled to base with minor wear and minor glaze imperfections and minor nicks as would commonly be found on an example of this early age. Original base rim kiln imperfections. Overall substantially fine for vases early age and large size with no other imperfections or repairs. All our items studied under UV black light to ensure no hidden damages.
Size: The vase is an impressive large size for displaying measuring 18 inches tall, by 9 inches wide.
