Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely hand painted Chinese? blue and white porcelain bowl that we believe dates to early 19th century. The interior of the bowl is decorated with two koi fish swimming among water lilies and other stylistic decoration in cobalt blue on a slight grayish-celedon colored background. The back of the bowl has not been decorated and is unglazed in the center of the base within the foot ring. The base is marked with unidentified... signature or mark. The interior of the bowl has an orange peel textured finish that is characteristic of earlier pieces. Measures 2 3/8" high, 11 3/4" in diameter with a 7" diameter base. Weighs 3 pounds. This nice bowl is in very good Estate condition with the only noted flaws being two tiny faint chips and one slightly larger chip on the rim. Overall, the bowl looks great and displays beautifully. The chips are positioned where the bowl was probably hung on the wall in a plate hanger.
