Illinois 16S Bunn Special Model 9 21J Movement
Item History & Price
The lever-set movement is marked "Bunn Special Illinois Watch Co. Springfield Double Roller 21 Jewels Adjusted Temp. and Six Positions 3595380". Dates to 1919.
The double-sunk dial is marked Illinois, and is in fair condition with lines, chips, and repairs (see photos). The hands are pretty shiny and nice.
The case is nothing fancy, but in decent functional shape. &nbs...p;The inside of the case back is marked "Base Metal 3150613".
The watch is not running and doesn't seem to wind, but the balance swings and ticks sometimes when you apply gentle pressure with a toothpick to the mainspring gear. The stem turns the mainspring on winding and sets the hands when the lever is out, but the spring doesn't seem to be creating tension (my guess). It looks like most the parts are there, and it is nice and clean. An eagle-eyed viewer noticed that it is missing the balance cap jewel (the bearing jewel is still there) too. So it's a unique 20 jewel movement :). Good candidate for parts, repair or restoration. Sold as is.
