Vintage Rare 16mm Film Cartoon B&W w/Sound“Alias St. Nick" 1935Offered today for yourreview is a very Rare Early Black & White Cartoon Titled "Alias St.Nick." The beginning credits include: “This is a Pictoreel Cartoon, ” “A Rudolf Ising Production” B&W w/Sound 400’ film spooledon a 7” reel with its metal can. The beginning 6 feet of the film is cupped andit does have a mild vinegar smell…with that said the film plays very well on mymachine with No Splic...es, No jumps and I needed to mention this for accuracy. Thisfilm is from 1935 and the run time is approximately 9-1/2 Minutes.What’s interesting aboutthis film is with every search I’ve done on this title, everything shows thisin color!…this is a B&W print! ??Story Line: Rudolf Ising’sChristmas cartoon. Mother mouse reads "A Visit from St. Nicholas" toa bunch of little mice kids. Among them is Little Cheeser. Cheeser is cynicaland doesn't believe in Santa. Meanwhile some mangy-looking cat eavesdropsthrough the window and decides to masquerade as Santa. He hopes to gainentrance to the mouse home and eat them. But once inside he gets more than hebargained for from the suspicious Cheeser. An innocent little toon that willprobably play best for toddlers. Not really much for adults. First appearanceof Little Cheeser. The cat looks positively demonic. The animation is nice. This Filmwould be a Welcomed Addition to Any Collection and a Must Have for the SeriousCollector of Vintage Cartoon Films.
