They ask for Patch's resignation, but he refuses on the basis that thetown on hiring him had promised him the job for as long as he wanted it. Afraidfor the town's future and even more afraid of the fact that Marshal Patch knowsall the town's dark secrets, the city fathers decide that old-style violence isthe only way to rid themselves of the unwanted lawman.Now 50 years old...theclever fresh dialog and score, cinematography just great. Note that the picture #1 is for promotional purposes...However the film when projected is much brighter and alot more enjoyable then these dark pictures!!!!
