Tiffany at Auction hardcover book. Published in 1981, this book is an invaluable reference guide and auction record of works of art made by the Tiffany Studios. The 400 plus items illustrated and described in the front of the book were many of the highlights from auctions at Christie's New York in the four years prior to the publication of this book. Items included in this book range from Tiffany Favrile glass and pottery vases, Tiffany Favrile glass lamps with... beautiful leaded glass or blown glass shades on bronze bases (floor lamps, table lamps, ceiling and wall mount fixtures), Tiffany windows, bronze desk pieces, candlesticks, and more! These pieces are represented in beautiful full color photographs as well as in black & white photographs from their auction catalogs. The back of the book contains historically important and rare black & white photographs of over 700 Tiffany objects from the Studios own literature and photo albums. These albums were retrieved from a trash heap at the Tiffany Studios when the firm declared bankruptcy in 1933. The end of the book contains an index of the model numbers and short description assigned to most of the items made by the firm. If a particular item is shown in the book, the page that it appears on is also provided in this list. This book is a must for any serious collector or admirer of items produced by the Tiffany Studios. The book is in excellent condition, no tears or creases to pages. The dust cover is in very good condition with light signs of use, edge wear, very light sunning to spine, short tear to front lower edge of dust cover. The dust cover is wrapped in a Brodart protective cover. 348 pages. The book measures 11 1/2"wide, 9 1/4" high.
