On the day I am starting this listing, I am listing SIX super vintage CD-ROM (three CD-R, one CD-RW) drives from my personal collection, and this is one of them:
This is a JVC CD Recordable system from 1994. This was a very hip and expensive setup for authoring audio CDs and computer CDs. Inside this case is a JVC XR-W2001 CD-ROM/CD-R drive. The SCSI enclosure has an extra bay that used to be used for a SCSI hard drive (500mb, I think, I don't have it anymore), I removed both drives, knowing this very early CD-R was valuable, to use the case for a full height magneto-optical, but never needed it and don't need those now. So I am putting the drive back with it, and a Kingston blank faceplate that you can use or remove. It is all in very, very good condition. It was made in Japan in November of 1999 (the case was from JVC USA in Irvine a month later).
This has Centronics female 50-pin SCSI connections on the back (common for 80s and 90s 8-bit SCSI-I or SCSI-2 connections).
On the bottom side, all of the rubber feet are present, intact, and in beautiful condition.
This is working and is in very, very good condition. The CD caddy is included.
If you think another eBay seller has the same thing for half the price, please buy it immediately and learn something. What I have is the best on eBay.
This has a world power supply, giant cooling fan, and two SCSI ID switches.
It has an autosensing world power supply.
This is truly excellent and complete.

I have many wide SCSI drives, frames, carriers, racks, and enclosures to sell here (at the end of the photos for this listing, you can see a few photos of just a tiny percentage of the Kingston SCSI hardware I have, most of which will be listed for sale as time permits, if there is enough interest in it). My company (Synhouse Multimedia Corporation) has received hundreds of wide SCSI drives from studios, but has almost no use for wide drives (except just a few in use in the Macintosh computers and some newer items here at Synhouse). If these were 50-pin narrow SCSI drives or related, I wouldn't be selling them. I have already sold off about 38 drives and at least 20 drive carriers, and I will start listing some SCSI enclosures, 50/68 pin cables for them, longer cables, etc.. If I get good money in fairly quick sales (1-2 months/item), there will be more to come in the months ahead. If it proves not to be worth my time, I will end up stripping them for parts and recycling the many, many items I have boxed and packed in flight cases in the warehouse.
