You are bidding on a small 9" bisque head/compo body doll marked A 9/0 M. I will describe the doll carefully. Read the description, check the pictures, which form a part of the description, and email me with questions before bidding. I will answer quickly---he is sold as is.
This little boy was part of my mother's doll collection, and I have had him displayed for over 20 years. He is an A&M doll, about 9" tall. The tag my mother had on him said Floradora, but I... don't know if that is correct---not marked as such.
The doll has some problems---his body is very loosely strung---we tried to restring, but just couldn't get a tight fit. I have not seen a body quite like this---so wondering if it has been replaced....some of the body parts may be replaced---I do NOT know---he is sold as is, so examine pictures carefully. I have NOT removed wig to check inside for cracks---it looks fine from the outside, but, again, be aware.
The brown open/close eyes sometimes stick. As I said, I have not tried to remove the wig to set them, so be aware. The wig is 'shedding'---and probably needs to be replaced. It is not original, and is glued down snugly.
The doll wears a flannel replaced sailor outfit---wear to the left pants leg which you can see in the pictures. His hat is black felt---outfit navy blue---fits nicely. Replaced black cotton socks and black suede shoes (short laces). No odors---smoke and pet free home.
Please examine pictures carefully and read description. I have tried to describe this doll accurately, but please email me with any questions. As I said, I have not removed wig to check inside head---I see no damage on the outside. Returns accepted only if item not described accurately. Buyer pays all shipping charges on returns.
We will pack carefully and ship by Priority Mail with USPS Tracking (delivery confirmation). You will pay only postage, and we do not charge a handling fee. Payment will be by Pay Pal, and we ship promptly. We will be glad to combine shipping for items we have listed.
Payment is due by Pay Pal within 3 days from the close of the auction. We will ship as soon as we are notified the payment has cleared.
We are glad to ship overseas, but the postage varies, and if you are interested, please email me for a shipping quote. Priority Mail International is required because we have had problems with tracking to locations overseas. Because of delivery problems, we will no longer ship to Italy, and we choose not to ship to Ukraine, China or Russia. If we ship overseas, we often have no tracking information on the package once it has left the post office here. For customs purposes we won't mark as a 'gift', but will list the actual amount you paid us for the item only. Your purchase is listed as used. Email me with questions. Thanks for looking.
