Inthis listing we have a vintage doll accessory. This is the TelescopeNecklace made by Gilbert for their Honey West doll. This necklace isreally neat. It features a real metal chain and a working clasp inthe back. The telescope lens is plastic with gold paint. It’s areally cute accessory for a working doll, or for a doll who justlikes to give their outfit a special kind of look.
Thenecklace is in nice shape, but has one big flaw that makes it TLC.It’s missing one of the telescop...e lenses. It should have two, butit just has one. It’s more of a telephone monocle. There are a fairamount of scratches and wear to the gold paint on the lens. It’snot too bad, but it was played with and has been bouncing around in adoll case for 50 years. The metal loop holding the lens to the chainis a bit bent and warped. I assume from being unbent to take theother lens off. The metal chain does seem a bit tarnished, it’s apretty muted color, but I’m not sure what color it was originally.The clasp works pretty well. Please examine all pictures to see theexact condition of the necklace.
