You are looking at a rare, gorgeous, IDEAL 'PRINCESS BEATRIX' composition and cloth doll. This doll was made by IDEAL circa 1938. She is marked Ideal, it is faint but still visible.This PRINCESS BEATRIX is in excellent condition. But someone at some point added a little too much stuffing to her shoulder area, she needs to have some removed to make her look more natural. I will leave that to the new owner. She measures 21" in length and has a head circumference of 15.5". Her head, ...full arms with clenched fists. curled under fingers, and 3/4 legs made of composition make her recognizable as a true PRINCESS BEATRIX.This doll has soft coloring with blush in the right places. Her composition and coloring are wonderful. I have not seen a Princess Beatrix this nice. She does have a crack in the paint that is just below the elbow on the inside of the left arm close to her body. Her flirty brown sleep eyes flirt side to side easily and sleep as they should. She has all her eyelashes, painted eyebrows and lower lashes and a closed red mouth. Her cloth body is in good condition with no odors. Her crier no longer works.
PRINCESS BEATRIX will come dressed in what I believe is her original pink dress and bonnet. It has small holes in the sleeves that I have noticed, but there may be others that I missed. The dress and bonnet are still in good condition despite these little holes-not noticeable while she is on display. Bonnet still has the ties. Please any questions before bidding or buying.
