The Vivitar220/SL is a Cosina-madeM42 mount, 35mm SLR, marketed by Vivitar. Two versions were available: an all-black model and ablack body with silver top model. The 220/SL included typical features for amid-range SLR; exposure counter window, film plane marker, and a"film-in-chamber" indicator near the rewind crank. The cameraincluded an X Sync hot shoe. M Sync and X Sync flash terminals were availableon the side of the camera. The focusing screen provides a microprism spot toassist ...with focusing. Shutterspeeds ranging from Bulb to 1/1000 are possible with the vertical moving metalCopal Square shutter. The shutter release included a cable release socket and aself timer. Thecamera included dual behind-the-lens CdS cells. The battery-powered light meteruses a single 1.35 volt mercury cell: Mallory PX-675, Eveready E-675, orequivalent. The camera's film speed dial allows the user to select ASA (ISO)values from 25 to 1600.
