I believe it would be almost impossible to find a comparable example of this Rare and Unique Camera, The Unique "Automatic Exposure Control" system in (A) mode determines both the f stop and shutter speed. When the shutter is set A small GREEN flag on the left side of the viewfinder signals when there is enough light for the exposure. In the "Flash Mode" it determines the exposure based on th f stop and Distance. This was truely a Unique accomplishment in 1959 ! The TLR also permitted seeing the image at all times and "Rapid firing" as opposed to all the SLR's of the period where the mirrors closed after firing. A really Innovative concept. Unfortunately for Agfa a commercial failure. Making it a rare "Collectible" as well as "Ready to use" camera. I have always kept it with the exposure meter cel covered and it is still functioning correctly as tested before listing. From my extensive collection of Rare Vintage cameras. All my cameras are kept in my climatized humidity controlled storage and removed only for photographing and listing. The case is in very good condition. , I always kept a black cardboard over the exposure meter and that is why the meter is still as active as 55 years ago.The Agfa Optima cost a whopping $169- plus tax in 1959! A Leica IIIC cost $189-. not much difference. Not Surprising very few were sold!
