This is a special fan that was only produced for about a couple years by the exceptional company, The Modern Fan Co. It was called an Orbis, and was originally purchased around 2000-2001, and has traveled to several residences since then as this owner just could not part with it. As I recall, Modern Fan only produced two versions of this solid wood and chrome fan: in maple, and mahogany. I just love the classic bulbous design of this fan, and like all fans... created by this company, it is very well-made. A stunning fixture for your ceiling.
