Here is a stunning piece of Roycroft artisan copper works. A rare Copper Scissor candle snuffer/wick trimmer and matching tray with the Roycroft signature. They are both in excellent condition and will make the perfect accent piece to your antique Roycroft copper pieces! The snuffer/trimmer measures 6.5"L x 2.5" W (handle width). The tray measures 7"L x 4" W. Truly a rare find and I am so excited to offer them to you.Roycroft was a reformist community of cra...ft workers and artists which formed part of the Arts and Craft movement, in the United States. Elbert Hubbard founded the community in 1895, in the village of East Aurora, New York, near Buffalo. Participants were known as Roycrofters. The work and philosophy of the group, often referred to as the Roycroft movement, had a strong influence on the development of American architecture and design in the early 20th century. This unique movement community lasted until 1938. The community has been preserved and is open as a revived artisan community, museum and Inn in East Aurora NY. It is a truly stunning area, which I visited often when I lived in Clarence NY.Questions, please ask.
