Exquisite Raised Maple-Acer Leaves With Their Fruit And A Textured Inner Design Representing The Tree Bark.
Carved From Acer-Maple Which Was Favoured By The Swiss Carvers, As The Lighter Tones Grave A Great Base To Create Colour Tones When Staining, This Piece Being A Perfect Example.
The Style Is Appealing To The Eye And A Collector Of Both Black Forest And Arts And Crafts Would Be Thrilled With It, But Complimenting An Array Of Settings Both Antique/Vintage Homes And Equally Modern For An Interesting Antique Twist. Who Ever Becomes The New Owner Will Be Very Happy.
Remaining In Very Good Condition With No Damage To The Frame, The Original Glass Remains With Just A Few Small Spotting Areas (pointed out in the images and to be expected with age). At Some Point It Has Had A Small Metal Bracket Placed In Each Corner Which Is A Nice Historical Addition Holding The Mirror In-place Securely.
It Could Be Hung Either Way, Currently The Original Hanging Hoop Is Positioned To Hang It Long Ways.
