Featured in this auction is a magnificent flower vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This tapered piece is a very tall and sleek 9” almost 4+” wide at the shoulder, and 3" wide at the top rim. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2878 and the production year XXV (1925). The vase features a beautiful, arts-an...d-crafts .This gorgeous underglaze is a deep, matte mustard yellow color with a matte overspray. The vase does not show scuffing from use. The interior shows mild staining, and the exterior is very clean. This vase is an excellent example of the arts-and-crafts aesthetic! Check out all 8 photos!
