A rare & prized watch. The magic horological name- Patek Philippe.
18kt solid gold. Open face. Excellent condition. No obnoxious dents or scratches.
The movement is in super condition. Serial #: 98882. Diameter 44m/m. The movement is sparkling & runs well. The number of jewels is not marked on the movement as in later made Pateks but I counted 18, I think. There could be more.
The enamel dial looks good. There is a spider line at 10:30. It does not ...affect the general beauty of the watch & you need to go searching to see it, but it's there.
Pat. June 15, 1891. The dust cover is unique and I have never seen one like it before. It says: "Henry D. Martin, Christmas 1893 Tangiers Murat. There is a terrestrial globe which reads: 1892, The World's Columbian Exposition, Hors Concours, Chicago USA 1892. No. 98882, Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva.
This superb watch has not been overhauled for many years. It still runs well & keeps good time. An extraordinary Patek Philippe
