My grandfather found this shell near his ranch in Zacatecas Mexico. It is from a 75mm Schamond Canon. It measures 25cm tall and 9cm at the bottom.He told the story it came from the "Battle of Zacatecas" which was one of the most important battles in the Mexican Revolution. In this battle, Pancho Villa's army "Division of the North" defeated the troops of General Luis Medina Barron defending the town of Zacatecas. According to a Mexico City antique collector this shell with ...the engraved Mexican Coat of Arms are very rare and hard to find.
