Beautiful stylized NGIL mask of the FANG tribe from Gabon.
The ngil (gorilla) masks were worn by members of a male society of the same name during the initiation of new members and the persecution of wrong-doers.
A mask with a very nice white and brown patina.
The heart shape in the face, the prominent nose, the high forehead and the puckered mouth are typical features of these masks.

Overa...ll good condition, possible traces of use. Take a good look at the pictures.
