This is a Japanese sword wakizashi in mountings. The blade is signed "Fuyuhiro 冬廣", gold inlay cutting test "Futatsu do dotan barai Yamano Kanjuro Hisahide with kao sama kore 二胴土壇払 山野勘十郎久英 花押 様之", shinogi-zukuri shape, Edo period ca.1600 era made blade. The blade is in old polish, no rust, no stain and in good condition. &nbs...p; The temper line is wavy chusububa with choji temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame-hada, no openings and no blisters. There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is sendan kizami finish urushi lacquered wood scabbard, no dents, no crack, no lacquer loss and in good condition. The handle is tight fit with iron fuchi/kashira, tsukaito wrapping is no cut, no loose and in good condition. Tsuba is marugata shape gold inlay iron sukashi tsuba with nice patina. It measures 19+3/4" cutting edge, 1" width, 5 mm thickness at the notch and 31" in mountings. Shipping is $20 priority in U.S. Payment due with in 3 days auction end.
