Fulper Art Pottery Vase
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this large, old Fulper art pottery vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This urn vase has two square handles. The upper portion has a green and blue flambe glaze, and the lower part is glazed matte blue. Unpacked, it weighs 4 pounds 11.9 ounces; it feels heavy for its size. This piece stands about 9 3/4 inches tall, and it has a maximum width of approximat...ely 7 7/8 inches. This pot would be a nice addition to a collection of American art pottery.
Identification
This old, unmarked pot is guaranteed to be Fulper pottery from New Jersey. This shape and glaze are well-documented as Fulper.
Condition
This piece is not in perfect condition, but it is such a nice form that it would be a good candidate for restoration. As found, one of the handles was broken off, so there are two loose handle pieces. I have shown it in some of the photos with the pieces in place where they should be attached, but they are not currently affixed to the vase. Aside from the broken handle, there are no chips or cracks. There is light wear. Excess glaze was ground off of the base, as made. Variations in glazing and scattered, tiny glaze bubble pops are also as made. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
Terms of Sale
1. Sales Tax
Before merchandise is shipped to a California address (or picked up or delivered within California), sales tax will be collected, unless the buyer provides a properly completed and valid California resale certificate form by mail (or in person, in the case of pick up or delivery). No exceptions. Sales tax may apply for merchandise shipped outside of California.
2. Payments
The buyer must prepay before merchandise is released. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller in advance of bidding or buying to find out about accepted payment methods for local pick ups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
3. Shipping and Handling
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. The merchandise will be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller's choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping and handling costs may be required. For domestic parcels, a signature will be required for delivery if the total payment is $750 or greater; at the discretion of the seller, a signature may be required for delivery if the total payment is less than $750.
If international shipping is available, this will be indicated on the "Shipping and Payments" tab. International shipping is not free for the buyer and shipping costs are not negotiable. Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. The seller will determine the international shipping method(s). Some merchandise may be too large to be shipped to certain countries. Some countries have restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. The seller will only use legal shipping methods. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when the item is picked up; do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. The seller does not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts. U.S. and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
