This attractive group depicts a mother, sitting in an armchair, surrounded by her children. The figure is missing its ...base, but the model number is "E69", entitled "Die Gute Mutter" (The Good Mother). This group was originally modelled by Michel Victor Acier and dates from the 19th century. Obviously, this figure is in need of major restoration, but one in better condition made $5250 (over £4000) at Christies, New York, in 2011. Size:Measures 7 1/2 inches high and 5 1/4 inches wide.Condition:The figure has various problems: the base is missing, one child is missing from the side, the child on the lady's knee is missing her arms and has had one foot repaired, two back legs on the chair are missing, part of the boy's foot is missing, one arm on the chair has been repaired.
