Here is an exceptionally clean and all original 1964 Gibson ‘Country Western’ acoustic guitar owned by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins. Introduced by Gibson in 1956 as a natural finish version of the hugely popular Southern Jumbo, the ‘Country Western, ’ has that quintessential big body Gibson projection and resonan...ce. The tone is sweet and responsive, making this guitar ideal for recording, songwriting, and performing alike. This guitar is currently owned by popular singer-songwriter Shawn Mullins who preferred to keep it at home as one of his go-to writing guitars (safe from the inevitable wear and tear of touring). Shawn has written quite a few of his most famous songs with this very instrument. Upon request, Shawn is happy to autograph or personalize the guitar, too! Best known for his 1998 single “Lullaby, ” which hit No. 1 at Adult Top 40 radio and earned him a Grammy nod that year. Over a decades-spanning career, Shawn’s songs have appeared in multiple films and television series, from “All in My Head, ” featured in the hit sitcom “Scrubs, ” to “Shimmer” which appeared on the soundtrack for Dawson’s Creek. His single “Beautiful Wreck” earned him another number one single on the Americana chart in 2006. While “Toes, ” a co-write with Zac Brown, hit the #1 Country Singles spot in summer 2009.
