Adorable, third mold, 15" rubber body, hard plastic head with wonderful auburn caracul wig... so soft! Doll is in great condition with an all original complete set of clothes... never removed from insert. Includes pink print dress, matching sun suit and bonnet, terrycloth bib (one small spot on bib), cream leatherette shoes, and rayon socks. Plus the following list of additional accessories:1. Signature bent handle "silver" spoon marked "Effanbee" and "Dy-Dee" o...n inside of handle.2. Rare straw - she can actually drink water!3. Plastic pacifier with pink ribbon.4. Style and color are correct for her, however the sleeves are I/2" too long. 20. Original pink bow in her hair. Original price of $27.95 (!) marked on inside and outside of her box. She is from a smoke-free home. This doll was made in the early 1950's after "Tiny Tears" dolls were first sold. This is no doubt the reason for this doll having tear holes. There is a faint scratch on her left cheek, an some tiny cracks in her ears. Joints of arms and legs somewhat loose, but she can still sit alone (see picture). There is a flat spot on her fanny and the button that allows her to wet her diaper is melted on one side (the result of 70 years laying in her box?) This actual doll is pictured in Barbara Hilliker's book "Effanbee DyDee - The complete Collector's Book" on page 84, in fact, 3/4 of the dolls pictured in that book are from my collection.
