24" (61cm) ANTIQUE FRENCH MUSICAL AUTOMATON BY LEOPOLD LAMBERT with SIMON&HALBIG DEP DOLL HEADStanding upon a red velvet-covered platform is a bisque-head doll with blue glass eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, accented lips, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, original mohair wig, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, beautiful bisque lower arms, wearing vintage dress with lace collar. and lace hand dress.... When wound, music plzce with two tunes, the doll turns its head side to side and nods, eyes blink, raise one's hand.Marks: Simon & Halbig S&H DEP (head) L.B. (key). France, Leopold Lambert, circa 1890. 24" (61cm) overall length Condition: music and mechanism function very well. The bisque hands in excellent condition. But HER BISQUE HEAD HAS A PROBLEM! One piece has been broken and glued (please look last photo).
