This doll has damage to her head. It has been glued and stabilized. The front view of her face, luckily, was unharmed. :) The damage is on her forehead and the sides of her face only. Two hairlines go down to the top of the her brows. Her pretty smoky blue colored eyes were unharmed and her painted brows; lips and eyelashes remain beautiful and original. Please enlarge my pics for a better description of the exact damage to this doll. Despite her flaws, this doll displays like a typica...l French antique beauty! I have started the bidding at a low price to reflect the damaged head. She comes with a hand made peach dress, a full body slip, socks, cloth lace shoes, hand made Jumeau colored earrings, a straw hat with feathers and matching peach colored tying ribbon, a thick wig that I believe is human hair, yet it is very soft and feels more like mohair? It is a bit messy and frizzy but well made, well fitting, and a perfect match in color to her eyebrows. None of the above items are original to her but the wig is surely old. She has no pate but I made one out of tissue/stuffing for her. Her body is in solid and decent antique condition. She has all her fingers and toes and is nicely marked on her lower back and neck. Her stringing is not as tight as I’d like but yet, not bad either. She can free stand if carefully placed. She is fully jointed. Her stringing allows for her arms to be held out to her side a bit but not over her head. I would consider the stringing to be generally fair. However, I will include her stand in this auction as well. It’s a nice tall heavyweight stand. It shows some age discoloration but it’s tall, strong and safe. She has six beautiful square teeth which are still in good shape. Despite her damage, this old girl shines brightly on display. Her new owner will not be disappointed.
