Adventure Comics #37 from April, 1939.CGC Graded 5.5 (Fine Minus condition) with Off-White Pages.One of just nine unrestored copies ever graded by CGC, this copy trails just a single 6.5 at the top of the CGC census. The cover from this book was of course later used on Double Action Comics #2. This is the very first unrestored copy of this book that I have seen for sale in over ten years; you never see this issue for sale, and certainly not in this condition. I bought this book f...rom the person who sent it in for grading, and they passed along the grader’s notes to me: light staining to cover, moderate creasing to cover, moderate spine stress lines to cover, small tear bottom of spine. Based on these notes and from looking at the book up close in person, it has almost certainly never been cleaned or pressed, so it might have a shot at grading even higher on a press/resub.Overstreet Price Guide FN value: $1, 200.
