The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Rolex signed jet black pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and again in excellent condition. The applied steel hour batons a...nd steel hands flow into the dial and are beautifully framed by the gleaming steel bezel – for the avoidance of doubt the batons, Rolex crown and hands are steel. The very high grade chronometer standard Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this stunning piece we’ve added a new, super high quality, black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with steel Hirsch buckle.My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month written guarantee on the movement.The CaseThe solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The case measures 35mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 41mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented Stainless Steel’ and the case number is ‘1500’. The serial number is 5.89 million which dates it to 1979 (the full serial number will of course be given to the buyer).The DialThe original Rolex signed jet black pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and again in excellent condition.
