Rare ROLEX 18k Datejust Thunderbird Ref 1625 With Bark president . Condition is Pre-owned.Up for auction is a rare solid 18k gold Rolex thunderbird. Ref 1625. 36mm. This watch would have originally come with a jubilee bracelet and later this watch was fitted with a genuine Rolex 18k bark president bracelet. I consider it an upgrade since the president bracelet seems more substancial and came on higher end watches. The bark texture of the bracelet matches quite w...ell with the striations in the bezel between the numbers. Some might like the look of bark and some may not so bid accordingly. The dial is a dark silver/slate that may have started life a different color and patinad over time. Its a beautiful color now against the yellow gold. Considered a sport model due to the rotating bezel it is becoming increasingly difficult to buy any rolex sport models at a reasonable price. This blends sport and dress in a way other Rolex watches dont do. At 36mm it wears a tad larger than a day-date or datejust 36mm because the rotating bezel is bit beefier. The bracelet has some stretch as the pictures show and the watch is not mint. Will fit a 7 inch wrist. Although this watch should fetch $12, 000 i will start the bidding at $1 and no reserve.
