I aquired this high end turntable years ago as part of a purchase of my JBL paragon speakers. The story was this package was orriginally purchased by a wealthy german hideing in south america which would explain the box of clasic albums that i aslo recieved. Ive never used this fine turntable and have decided it should go to a beter home. I know very little about the unit other than seeing many examples for well over twice my starting price. It powers up and turns properly so im ...assuming it will operate as well as i was told it did years ago. Aparently the techics SP-10 started life in 1970 as a servo control unit designed for studio use. In 1975 the much improved SP10 MK2(1975-1981) was introduced with quartze locked speed control and external power supply. This version found its way in many studios replacing the ageing Gerrard 401s. This complete package is in remarkable shape for its age. But does have a few scraches here and there. I sell many valuable antiquities so i pack well and will take special care with this item but will take helpful advice from the buyer that may know more about this item than i.
